Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?
No. Never. The whole app runs on your device — you can even use it in airplane mode after the first load.
How are the photos ordered?
By the "date taken" stored inside each photo. If a photo doesn't have one (screenshots, WhatsApp saves), we use the file's date and mark it with a ~ so you can spot it.
What about HEIC photos from iPhone?
They work in Safari. On Chrome, HEIC can't be decoded — convert those to JPEG first, or just use Safari.
Can I use my own music?
Yes — mp3, m4a, aac, or wav. It loops if your video is longer than the song.
Is it really free?
Yes — there's no paid tier and nothing to buy. Videos carry a small "made with timelapsd.com" mark in the corner. If it made you something you love, you can buy me a coffee — but you never have to.
What formats can I export?
Vertical 9:16 for Reels/TikTok/Shorts, square 1:1, or landscape 16:9 — as an MP4 that plays everywhere (WebM on browsers without MP4 recording).
